Kindergarten registration for SD8 opens January 5, 2026. 

Our kindergarten program creates the foundation for your child's positive learning journey - encouraging children to play and learn through a variety of experiential education opportunities to support their emotional, social, physical, intellectual and creative development. 

How do I enrol my child in kindergarten?

  1. Children may start kindergarten in September of the year they turn five years old.
  2. You are encouraged to apply before February 28, 2026 at 4:00 PM at your neighbourhood catchment school.
  3. Download the registration form and bring your child's long-form birth certificate, proof of citizenship for the parent (your passport or birth certificate), 2 pieces of proof of home residence (See above section - What to Bring with You for Enrolment), and BC Services Card when registering. If applicable: please bring custody paperwork (court documentation).
